Post Re: Gas Packs
had the dealer throw in the kolpin tank when i bought the quad. rolled the quad and there was pinholes in the corner as well as through the cap. nevermind it leaked new out of the box. fixed that by filing down where the cap meets the tank and playing with where the seal was placed between the nozzle and the cap. tried to stick some special goo for gas tanks to fill the pinholes didn't work. seen the rotopax tanks at the outdoor show. story they told me was they used to make them for kolpin then kolpin went and got them out of china or likewise. so rotopax started selling them for themselves. my kolpin was a new one so i dont know about the old ones. but it is junk compared to the rotopax tank so far in my eyes

The new RotoPax all have a new-style vented spout and no more separate vent cap. I spoke to John at http://quadshop.ca (who you saw at the Outdoor show) and he says they still don't leak.
