Post Green Plastics??
I have an 04 Rancher and want to make my bike green, I have looked all over the place here and green plastics seem to be non-existant plus the dealership said if I want them it would be an imported part and expensive at that. What options do I have on this idea and does anyone (like Moose) make an atv plastics cover that is just green, not camo or mossy oak etc. - Just Olive Drab or similar?

Regards - MM

Bump.....
Ok, what about these fender covers offered on E-Bay, has anyone fitted a cover and how well do they fit?
WARNING - E-Bay listing LINK!! (I am not advertising this product and I am in no way associated with the vendor, I am just curious as to the fit and quality of the fender covers)

I've seen those type of covers on a couple machines over the years but didn't pay that close attention to them to see how secure they mount on. I think they just clip onto the fenders with elastic cords????

Sounds like a bit of a "tinny" product then, for the cost I may just steer clear of them, I can paint the plastics and can get the plastic primer, etch primer and paint to stick really well but so far the only enemy is fuel as it causes blistering and eventual separation (tested on a Honda plastic panel from a wreck). I may just need to experiment more but the main problem is the bike, like most bikes has been polished with u-beaut silicon "wet look" polishes and tyre shine sprays so the hard bit is displacing all that prior to any preparation for the primers. I'll keep experimenting and see if I can get a fuelsafe, lightly flexible finish........ or keep trauling on Evil-Bay for some secondhand, reasonable plaastics and just grit my teeth when the freight is calculated. Has anyone on here got a full set of green plastics (so at least the fade on the panels would be roughly the same) they would be willing to part with?
Take Care

Best Regards - MM :D

According to that eBay listing, the cover attaches with clips and Velcro. I'd be concerned with dust and grit getting between the plastic and the cover and sanding/scratching your plastic (same as with anything covering and contacting your plastic, like a fender bag).

I think your best bet is to put the word out that you're looking to swap your red plastic for green plastic, and hope that somebody with green plastic is looking for red plastic. Otherwise... save your money. :D

Good advice as always Greg, I'll put the word about the place and see what turns up...
