Yes, but they will need to be bent a little to get the proper feel.

Re: Is it normal for HMF to run hot
Checked the intake side today with the .006 seemed to have more like .008 of play between rocker and stem .008 was a tight fit how much drag should it have.Checked the plug since it was out and it was white and clean decided to rejet .(Gettin good at it now took about 20 min.)I put in the 55 pilot and tryed the 160 main just to see.Had to lean the pilot some but header pipe alot cooler can almost touch it.Alot more power spins tire on rough asphalt but pops once in awhile when down shifting It will lift the wheels but wont wheely like it was with stock pipe. Going to get the twin air or uni tomorrow and see what happens. What do you think about the .008 is that bad?

Re: Is it normal for HMF to run hot
If the 8 thou is tight, real tight, you are probably OK. Looseness would most likely be accompanied by some degree of tapping. With the 6, you should just barely feel some drag on the gauge. If the 6 is loose, like no drag at all. it needs to be tightened a bit. I have checked mine 4 times, and only once did they require adjustment. Very little adjustment is usually the case.
The jet sizes we suggest are just guidelines, since every manufacturer's jets are a little different, even those with the same numbers. And every engine is different as well. Sounds like you have hit the sweet spot for your jets in your quad. Experimentation is almost always required to find that sweet spot. You want no bogging with a throttle stab, hot or cold engine, and at least 60 mph top end. However, always let the Rincon engine warm up for a few minutes before stabbing the throttle. You need to let the torque converter fill with oil before moving it.
What is the new top speed? Anything above 60 is acceptable, and will vary a bit with the terrain you are on and the tire pressure. Low tire pressure will result in a better ride, but lower top speed. I run mine about 1# above the nameplate rating in the quad. 2# if I am going to ride on rocks or hardpack, 1# below rating if I know a lot of mud is in the future. Each pressure will affect top speed a little.
Mine almost always pops once on hard decel.

Re: Is it normal for HMF to run hot
Cool I hope your right on the sweet spot ,the only thing is on pilot adjustment I cant seem to get a high idle.If I turn it in lower than 2 turns it will sputter and die, but at about 2 turns out it will idle normal and at 3 turns it will sputer and die. So I left it at 2.5.Does that sound right. On the valves the 8 is not real tight but the 9 wont go in at all.Looked like 56 on the speedo but was still not hitting the limiter.Need a longer stretch of road.Thanx alot Woodsrunner for helping me through this long ordeal I really appreciate it.
